The Lexus RC coupe is headed to 2013 Tokyo Auto Show, being held later this month. Â It’s based on the new 2014 Lexus IS sedan and is great to look at from any angle. Â After the discontinued LFA super car and SC coupe, this RC aims to be the only two door car in the Lexus lineup. Â And no, the Lexus RC does not come with a ‘remote control’ option.
There is no official word yet from Lexus on when or whether this new coupe will come to the dealer showrooms in United States. Â However, it is needed if Lexus wants to compete against the new BMW 4-series, Audi A5, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe.
We do know that the RC will be available with in RC350 and RC300h models. Â The former is the familiar 3.5-liter V6, and the latter is a Hybrid system that uses a 2.5-liter four cylinder and it very similar to the one in the ES300h and Toyota Camry Hybrid. Â Stay tuned for more information about the Lexus RC.
