Make your old truck sound & perform better with a Performance Exhaust

A 10-year-old pickup can’t compete with a new truck in terms of power and torque…or can it?  With the addition of a new performance exhaust and a flash performance retune  to increase the horsepower you can make your old truck run and sound better.

In this episode of Project Pickup (part 3), we continue on our quest to modify our ten-year-old diesel Chevy Silverado to more modern specs with a new Performance Exhaust and a and a flash performance re-tune.

In this third part of TFLcar’s episode we test the truck from 0-60 MPH to see if the installed MBRP Performance Exhaust that we got from (http://www.autoanything.com) has made the pickup faster and lauder. But we also flash retune the engine for more horsepower.

So does a more free flowing exhaust increase the speed and boost the performance with the addition of a flash retune of our 10-year-old pickup.

You’ll have to watch this video to find out.

Editor’s note: We opted for the mid setting when we flash-tuned the pickup truck because we were concerned about the transmission. Remember: this is a 10-year old pickup truck and we didn’t want to overwork the gears. With that said, you should never try this on a vehicle that’s under warranty – unless you don’t care about the warranty.
