Video: 2012 Nissan Quest minivan road trip review

Quest

The 2012 Nissan Quest 3.5 LE is Nissan’s newly redesigned minivan, and it competes directly with the Toyota Sienna and Chrysler Town and Country to name just a few of its car rivals.

The new Nissan Quest seats seven and has plenty of room to take you and your family on a cross country trip from coast to coast.

We recently had the chance to explore the Oregon Coast in the Quest. The Quest was a reliable travel companion in the near constant rain. The minivan’s 260 HP engine provided plenty of power to take on the twisty and hilly 101 Highway.

The roomy 2012 Quest also has all of the deluxe appointments that you expect from a luxury car including heated front seats, supple leather, and duel sunroofs.

Check out this road trip review as we put the 2012 Nissan Quest to the TFLcar road trip review.

Review: The 2012 Mazda3 brings European flair with Japanese practicality to America

2012-mazda3-skyactiv03

The Mazda3 has long had European flair and is by far the automaker’s best seller in America—thanks to a clever combination of sportiness and practicality.

The compact, front-drive Mazda3 comes as a four-door sedan or four-door hatchback in SV, Sport, Touring, Grand Touring and Mazdaspeed trim levels. List prices range from $15,200 for the base sedan to $24,000 for the hot rod Mazdaspeed3.

Japan’s Mazda has been selling cars in volume here since the early 1970s, making Americans aware for the first time of the unique rotary engine, which initially powered  its cars. But the automaker isn’t on lots of shopping lists. To partly help the situation, it has dropped the list price of its improved base sedan model by $600.

Americans don’t fall for Fiat 500’s small charm: Dealers have half year supply on lots

Fiat500USA-US_Fiat_500_eBrochure

The Fiat 500 has been a smash hit in Europe, but so far the American market is proving harder to crack.

According to a recently published report Fiat USA has a half a year supply of the small Italian cars having only sold 15,826 units through October.

That’s well below the very ambitious 50,000 sales target set for 2011 that Fiat set for itself.

The results of the slow sales means that Fiat is now offering a $500 rebate to help spur demand.

It also means that Laura Souve, the head of the Fiat in North America, is leaving the company according to published reports.

2012 KIA Rio video review: Small fun attractive affordable but certainly not fast

2012-Kia-Rio-a

The 2012 KIA Rio swims in a crowded pool of tough competition.

The new 2012 KIA Rio competes with such fun cars as the Fiat 500 and such clever cars like the Honda Fit, and such new sexy cars as the Ford Focus.

But the KIA RIO has a lot to offer with a new sporty design, a six speed manual or automatic transmission, and one of the best new car warranties in the business.

So does the 2012 KIA Rio have the performance, the styling, the ride and handling, the engine, the economy and the value for money to swim with the big selling fish in the pond?

Check out his speedy seven video review to find out.
