Speeder Films Himself Driving 198 MPH in a Dodge Hellcat – Gets Busted

William Jefferson, 22 – released a video on Facebook of himself driving his 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat at 198 mph on US-1 through Wake County, North Carolina. Not surprisingly, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol has arrested Jefferson charging him with street racing and reckless driving. He is due to appear in court on Sept. 4.

There were no reported injuries and Jefferson has no felonies on his record.

In the video (a clip has been provided below) The driver, William Jefferson, says “it’s a true Hellcat” Then the video cuts to an exterior view shot from the side of the highway supposedly showing him pass at speed with a motorcycle following closely behind.

Investigators have asked for a warrant to search Jefferson’s cell phone for additional evidence, according to The News Observer.
