Think of the new Jaguar F-Pace activity key like a more advanced version of the key number pad on a Ford. In other words, this little bracelet allows you to open your Jaguar without a key.
Perhaps the best way to explain how it works….is to show you how it works. Roman recently had the chance to test drive and review the new 2017 Jaguar F-Pace and also give the car’s new activity key a spin. Take a look at this short video above for a fun tech demo of the activity key.
The idea is simple. Let’s say you want to go skiing or surfing but you are afraid of losing your car’s traditional key or perhaps getting it wet. All you have to do is put on the activity key bracelet and throw the car’s normal key into the car. Now using the activity key just lock the car by touching the key to the “J” in Jaguar name logo on the back of the car.
In fact you can actually keep the car’s traditional key in the car and once you lock the Jaguar with the activity key, the car’s traditional key will automatically deactivate.
When you are done skiing or surfing just touch the activity key to “J” again The car will unlock and also activate the traditional key. It’s a new twist on an old idea. Best of all, you don’t have to charge the activity key.
