Look, the 2016 Buick Envision is on American soil with Michigan plates. The production Envision is aimed at the Chinese market. It was unveiled at the Chengdu Motor Show two months ago. Buick has not officially said that this luxurious mid-size crossover will be sold in the United States, but it makes as Buick’s current crossover lineup of small Encore and full-size Enclave has a nice gap for Envision to slot into.

The Envision has about the same exterior dimensions as a BMW X3. The Chinese version is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four cylinder engine with 256 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Naturally, it feeds all four wheels.

Buick has taken the Envision to the next level in terms of interior design, fit, and finish. The wood in the dash and leather seating surfaces look carefully chosen and executed.

Check out this TFLcar Prototype Hunting video from a year ago of what we then thought was the 2015 Buick Anthem midsize crossover. It looks like it turned into the Envision.

Also, here is a TFLcar first drive of the Buick Enclave.
