2016 Chevy Volt teaser

All we know at this point is that the next-generation 2016 Chevy Volt electric car will be officially unveiled at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show during the press days January 12-13th. GM has released one teaser image and no additional details or specifications. This official image suggests that the next Volt will retain the hatchback layout.

Judging by the spy shots of the test prototypes, the all-new Chevy Volt will be slightly larger than the current model and will have more sleek and flowing body lines. Take a look at these spy images of the prototype high in the Rocky Mountains.
