VW Uses GTI to Celebrate Germany’s FIFA World Cup Victory

FIFA

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLF! That’s what the folks at Volkswagen think you’ll be yelling after Germany’s 1-0 victory over Argentina in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. To celebrate their home country’s victory, they created a small video of a bunch of Golf GTIs playing soccer and scoring a winning goal. It’s a lot like Top Gear playing with Aygos, but with more computer graphics.

The GTI is all-new for 2015 in the United States, and we had an opportunity to drive it. We think it’s significantly improved over the previous generation of the car, and that was already a pretty good version. In the land of hot hatches, the GTI provides a sophisticated ride and premium comfort. Check out the video below documenting everything you need to know about the new Golf GTI. Also, congratulations to Germany on their victory!
