The 2013 Easter Jeep Safari represents the 47th running of this event, an event that brings together Jeep lovers to their spiritual mecca – Moab, Utah. Every year, Jeep brings concepts, prototypes and accessories to measure crowd reaction and to give a few lucky journalists, like yours truly, an opportunity to drive these creations.
The images you see are teased renderings of a few vehicles that will make an appearance at the 2013 Easter Jeep Safari.
I sampled the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk last year, which is an off-road package that includes upgraded, off-road tires, body armor and special graphics among other upgrades. The Trailhawk II is what you see pictured above. While there are no technical details available, it’s easy to assume this is a similar package available for the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The other vehicle is the Jeep Wrangler Slim, which, by the look of its background, is meant to be effective off-road and in-town. That’s all I got folks, I have no idea what the name Slim signifies. It could be the name of a Mopar package as Jeep tends to slap on a ton of Mopar merchandise on these rigs.
Speaking of Mopar, there are other Chrysler Group LLC vehicles that show up from time to time.
A few years back, Roman and I had the good fortune to play with Ram Power Wagons and I got to jump a Ramrunner in the dunes. Thus, it’s entirely possible that we’ll see other Chrysler products. Jeep says that there will be six vehicles brought to this event. My mouth waters at the prospect!
The 2013 Easter Jeep Safari runs from March 23rd to March 31st. Keep an eye out for our extensive coverage of this event!

I am very excited and honored to attend this special event. Jeep is one of the few automakers that does this type of marketing and it perpetually feeds its incredibly enthusiastic community.
