The big automotive buzz this week has been all about the Toyota FT-86 2+2 coupe. The new sporty Toyota was jointly developed by Subaru and will be sold worldwide as a Toyota, Subaru, and Scion.

We can tell you that the Toyota FT-86 will officially feature a 2.0-liter direct and port injected boxer engine that produces 197 hp @ 151 lb-ft of torque mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmissions.

It will ride on 17 inch wheels and perhaps most importantly the Scion FR-S production version that you’ll see at your local Toyota dealership is being unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show today.

But of course we were in Detroit earlier this year when Scion showed off the almost production ready concept car. Check out what we considered one of the best looking debuts from Detroit Auto Show below to get an early peek at the Scion FR-S.
