Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf price war smack down has begun and the winner is…

IMG_0486

Ladies and Gentleman in this corner we have the all new 2011 Chevy Volt.

Coming in at $41,000 or just $350 per month on a 36 month lease (with $2500 down) the Chevy Volt is lean, mean, green and runs on gas and electricity.

And in the other corner we have the 2011 Nissan Leaf.

Leaf

Coming in at $32,78 the Nissan Leaf already has 16,300 people who have reserved it as their next car. And unlike the Volt the all electric Nissan Leaf is more lean and perhaps even more green as it burns nothing more than rubber.

Both cars are eligible for a substantial $7500 Federal tax credit plus any local state tax rebates that may apply.

And both cars come with navigation and of course substantial battery warranties.

So who's going to win this price war…the GM Volt or the Nissan Leaf?

We think…the electric car buyer.
