Video FT-CH Hybrid: Toyota goes small and green…a sort of lime green

It is going to take some pretty innovative new cars if Toyota wants too meet its goal of selling one million hybrid cars per year this decade.

Enter stage right at the recent Detroit Auto Show the newest and smallest Toyota hybrid concept the FT-CH (Compact Hybrid).

It is about the size of a Toyota Yaris and it is supposed to be fun and a bit retro.

The FT-CH will most likely be a Prius sub-brand of Hybrid Synergy Drive powered cars that will be aimed at  younger, less affluent buyers.

Will Toyota build it? Probably because a small affordable Prius like hybrid will most certainly be a hit both in the States and in Japan.
