While the Honda CR-V continues to hand on to the top sales position in the compact crossover segment, there is a fierce battle a foot. The top five vehicles were separated by just under 1,400 units in February 2015 sales. Toyota RAV4 was the most improved crossover in year-over-year sales at 33.4%. It squeaks into the second place. The Chevy Equinox is in close third place. The Nissan Rogue has another stellar month and comes in forth. The Ford Escape had a misstep in February as it goes down -9.6% compared to last year and slides down to fifth place from second.
The rest of the leader board is a little more spread out. The Jeep Cherokee continues to do very well. It’s the most improved in Year-To-Date sales at 31.0%. Mazda CX-5 also had a significant downturn when compared to last year, but it is still moving significant volume.
