We’re nearing the end of Jeep’s ‘Twelve 4 Twelve’ rollout of special edition models, and this is the latest example.
It’s been a busy year at Jeep, as the brand continues to roll out new special edition models each month. This time around, we have the 2027 Wrangler Smoky Mountain Special Edition, a Willys-based package unveiled at Smoky Mountain Invasion — one of Jeep’s largest enthusiast gatherings on the calendar. After this, we’ll have two more unveils as we inch closer to wrapping up the series.
So, what exactly do you get with the 2027 Jeep Wrangler Smoky Mountain Special Edition? Fundamentally, the package brings standard 33-inch tires, a locking rear differential, 4.10 rear axle gearing and Dana 44 front and rear axles you get with the Wrangler Willys. The unique touches, however, include Smoky Mountain hood decals, special 17-inch wheels, a gloss black grille, and a body color hardtop and fender flares.
Inside, the Wrangler Smoky Mountain Special Edition brings black cloth seats with parachute graphics embossed in the upper seat bolsters. You get a wrapped instrument panel, Terracotta accent stitching with Blaze Orange accents, a rear swing-gate plaque showing the 1941 Willys parachute graphic against the night sky of the Smoky Mountains, and a mama bear/cub graphic shifter medallion. Heated seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control and a universal garage door opener come as part of this special edition model, so you get some extra features on top of your base Willys loadout. Rock rails also come as standard equipment.
Orders are open for the 2027 Jeep Wrangler Smoky Mountain Special Edition, which is available with either the 2.0-liter turbo-four or 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engines. You can only get it with an 8-speed automatic, though Jeep pitches the special edition at just $80 above a comparably equipped Willys.
That said, you do have to equip packages like the $1,595 Convenience Group, the $3,000 automatic transmission upgrade and another $1,895 for a hardtop to approximate the equipment you get with the Smoky Mountain package. That bumps the price up somewhere around $53,575 (give or take a bit for whether you want 35-inch tires instead of 33s).
