The 2025 Kia K4 evolves the former Forte into a new design era.

Kia K4 is an all-new model for 2025, following Kia’s naming scheme with the larger K5 sedan. As such, it borrows the brands most recent design language with amber running lights and sharp body lines. Kia gave the K4 a stacked headlight design much like the EV9 with an unmistakable T-shaped amber daytime running lights.

Around back the K4’s roof slopes toward the trunk in fastback fashion. Like the headlights, the taillights also have a 90 degree intersection of vertical and horizontal lighting elements.

What’s under the hood?

We had a sneak peek of this car’s design a few days ago. Now we have all the official specs from Kia as well. Standard 2.0L powertrains produce 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque mated to a CVT. A 1.6L turbo option boosts the Kia K4 to 190 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque with an 8-speed automatic. Both powertrains are front wheel drive.

Kia has five trim levels for the K5, starting with LX, LXS, EX and ending in the GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo. Both GT-Line models use a multi-link rear suspension that improves handling according to Kia.

Interior features and options are surprisingly good for the class.

Acoustic glass for the windshield, 360-degree cameras and Harman Kardon audio are all available on the entry level sedan. GT-Line cars get heated seats standard with the option for ventilated seats as well. Standard safety systems include adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane keep assist, forward collision avoidance and blind spot monitoring.

There’s a few options for interior colors, the spec pictured above breaks up the interior with white accents for contrast. Front and center lives a dual screen layout for both gauges and infotainment. Kia claims the K4 has more rear legroom and headroom than any competitor as well. That’s thanks in part to the car’s generous 185.4-inch wheelbase and 72.8-inch width.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard fare, and the new K4 can receive over the air updates. Kia also offers a digital key feature for you to unlock the car using your phone. Pricing on this new model isn’t available just yet, but Kia will offer their standard 10 year/100,000 mile warranty.
