It’s Jeep versus Jeep as the Compass Trailhawk and Renegade Trailhawk square off up Gold Mine Hill!
Two Jeeps compete for glory up Gold Mine Hill in today’s Ruts and Guts mashup review. It’s a sibling rivalry of epic proportions as the 2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk squares off against its little brother, the 2017 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk.
Under the skin, these two vehicles are almost identical. Each car has a 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine making 180 horsepower and 175 lbs.-ft. of torque. Both have a ZF 9-speed automatic transmission. Both have the same four-wheel drive system. They both have bright red tow hooks and Jeep’s “Trail Rated” stamp of approval on the fenders. Three main considerations split these siblings: size, ground clearance (weirdly), and price. Can these brothers conquer Gold Mine Hill?
Another common element of these two siblings is that they’re both fairly slow. Just how slow? Check out the video above to find out! This may just be a slower drag race than the Renegade’s matchup against the Toyota C-HR! This may be, in fact, the world’s slowest drag race.
