2018 VW Atlas Pricing Ranges from $30,500 to over $48,000: What Do You Get?

Volkswagen announces pricing for the all-new 2018 VW Atlas. Company’s first full-size three-row crossover. It’s entering a popular and competitive segment alongside the Ford Explorer, Toyota Highlander, and Honda Pilot. This is a tough group to compete against, and Volkswagen is aiming its pricing and trim choice strategy right at the heart of the market.

Volkswagen has announced the starting price of $30,500 for the front-wheel-drive model, equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. All prices mentioned here are not including the delivery fee. This is a relatively aggressive starting price that places the Atlas in the middle of the competitive set. However, the 2.oT will not be available at the initial launch of the crossover, which is targeted at May of 2017.

If you want to be one of the first to own the Atlas, you will have to opt for the 3.6L VR6 engine with 276 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. This model starts at $31,900 for FWD and $33,700 for AWD.

There is a special Atlas S Launch Edition, which will start at $33,500 for FWD and $35,300 for AWD. The Launch Edition will produced in limited numbers, and it includes a panoramic sunroof, Homelink garage opener, footwell lighting, and 8-inch screen infotainment system.

In total, there are five distinct trim levels of the 2018 Atlas: S, SE, SE with Technology, SEL, and SEL Premium. There is also a late availability of the R-Line package on the SE and SEL trim lines.

The SE with Technology model is well-appointed SE with the latest driver assistance technology package:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
  • Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Monitoring (Front Assist)
  • Lane Departure Warning (Lane Assist)

The fully loaded SEL Premium is the Atlas with everything, and the one that starts at $48,490. You can also opt for the captain chairs middle row for an additional $625.
