It’s hard to believe that, for as long as Honda has been in the U.S. market and for how long they’ve been one of the top sellers, they would have a record year in them, but they had just that in 2016. Honda has always been a smart company, and while they’ve listened to the market by building competent yet boring crossovers, they also listened to fans of the company’s past by making the best Civic ever and returning it to its fun-to-drive roots. It seems like Honda engineers can do anything, including making CVTs tolerable. And that’s no small feat.
