Here are the first tease photos for the upcoming Jeep Trailcat Concept and the Jeep Crew Chief Concept. This is just the tip of the iceberg folks. Every year, TFLcar heads to Moab UT. to cover the Easter Jeep Safari and review Jeep concepts.
This is Jeep’s take: “Jeep® and Mopar have once again joined forces to create a selection of concept Jeep vehicles for the upcoming 50th annual Easter Jeep Safari, taking place in Moab, Utah, March 19-27. The Jeep Wrangler “Trailcat” concept and the Jeep “Crew Chief” are two of the seven new vehicles that will head to Moab. Look for more information and images on these vehicles later this month.”
What do you guys think?
Here’s what might be gleaned from these sketches and names of the Jeep Trailcat Concept and the Jeep Crew Chief Concept:
In FCA-speak, anything with the word “cat” in it should have something similar to the Hellcat‘s power-plant under the hood. Jeep Wrangler TrailCAT could have a supercharged HEMI and the running-gear to handle it.
The Jeep Crew Chief Concept might be a glimpse into Jeep’s upcoming pickup truck. The nose is similar to the Jeep Nukizer, Jeep Safari and Jeep J-12 Concepts. These front-ends have proven to be wildly popular with fans and it’s possible that Jeep/FCA is closing in on a production component. The name has the “crew cab,” pickup truck vibe.
The Jeep Trailcat Concept and the Jeep Crew Chief Concept are the first in what could be many concepts that we’ll feature right here. Stay tuned!
