The refreshed 2016 Chevy Equinox made its debut last week at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.  Featuring a host of cosmetic changes, the new Equinox is set to compliment the Chevy Trax within the brand’s compact CUV offerings.

The 2016 Chevy Equinox refresh will include a host of cosmetic changes including new headlight design with LED daytime running lamps, fog lamps, and a redesigned bumper. New wheel designs and interior finishes are said to be included, as well.

New trim levels include L, LS, LT and LTZ, a streamlining which eliminates the 1LT and 2LT trims.  Available Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert safety features will be featured on LT and LTZ models.

The 2016 Chevy Equinox features a standard Ecotec 2.4-L direct-injected four-cylinder delivers an EPA-estimated 32 mpg on the highway (FWD models). A direct-injected 3.6L V-6 is available with LT and LTZ models and delivers  301 HP and 272 lb-ft of torque. The V-6 engine also enables a trailering capacity of up to 3,500 pounds.
