Thanks to our friends over at Kia-World.net, we have renderings of what we might expect from the redesigned Kia Sorento expected to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Kia’s new soft-roader will be built on Sedona platform, but available with an optional all-wheel drive system. The Sorento is a popular vehicle for Kia, and the redesign is important to keep the vehicle fresh and in line with other new offerings from the brand.
The folks at Kia-World.net also expect to see the US version to have a 3.3L GDI V6 engine or an optional 2.0L turbo making 264 hp. Sadly, a diesel is not expected on the US version, but the Europeans are expected to get a 2.2L CRDI clean diesel.
Expect the new Sorento to still have either 5 or 7 passenger seating, and also the latest Kia infotainment system including Apple’s CarPlay and Google’s Android Auto. Stay tuned for more information about Kia’s latest Sorento offering, and check out our test and track review of the 2015 Sorento.
