Preview: 2015 Audi A3 Sedan – Brings A8 features to entry level A3

2015 audi a3 sedan profile price
Audi has released more details about the next generation 2015 Audi A3 sedan.  Most important is the $29,900 starting price (not including $895 destination charges).   This happens to be the same starting price as the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA.  And it undercuts the other entry level luxury sport sedans from BMW 3-series, Cadillac ATS, Lexus IS, Mercedes C-Class by several thousand.

Interestingly, the panoramic sunroof comes standard but is not pictured in these images from Audi.  The 2015 A3 sedan also brings many premium features to the entry level segment that have previously been available in the top end A8 and A6 models.  These include the MMI infotainment interface with touch controller, 4G LTE wireless connectivity, and Bang & Olufsen audio.

The round vents and dash design of the 2015 A3 are somewhat similar to that on the 2015 C-Class, but controls and gauges continue Audi’s tradition of excellent interiors.

The next A3 will be powered by a trio of turbocharged four cylinder engines: 1.8T, 2.0T, and 2.0TDI.  Audi’s signature Quattro all-wheel-drive will of course be there as well.  The 1.8T and 2.0T gasoline engines will be released first.  They will be followed up later in 2014 by the A3 Cabriolet, the A3 TDI diesel, and the powerful 300 hp S3.  You will have to wait longer for the  Audi A3 Sportback (or hatchback) e-tron hybrid, as it will come in 2015.
