Fiat 500 Zagato Coupe concept gets green light for production in Mexico

Perhaps one of the most fun and interesting car concepts that debuted at the recent Geneva Auto show is the bubble-roofed Fiat 500 Zagato Coupe.

According to published reports Fiat will built the Zagato Coupe in Mexico. The Fiat 500 Zagato Coupe is somewhat based on the original version of the car which was originally sold in Italy.

The green lighting for the 2011 (or will it be a 2012 version of the Fiat 500 Zagato couple) of course begs the question….will it also be sold in America?

No word from Fiat yet, but since the car will be built in Mexico, we’d almost be willing to bet that it will eventual make it across the boarder to the U.S. Fiat dealerships. Our best guess…it probably depends on how well the standard Fiat 500 sells in America.

Check out the video below that features all of the new car concepts and intros from the 2011 Geneva Auto Show…including the Fiat 500 Zagato Coupe.
