Geneva: Koenigsegg One:1 can still Stop the Show

Most people will probably say a polite “Gesundheit” if you pronounce “Koenigsegg”.  However, those in the know have a fair share of respect for the small Swedish company with an obsession to produce the ultimate super car.  After all, Christian von Koenigsegg founded the company in 1994 and delivered the first street legal car in 2002.

The One:1 car shown at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show presents the latest iteration of the obsession.  It takes where the Agera left off and tweaks the finest details to get every ounce of performance and exhilaration.  For starters, the car is powered by a twin-turbo 5.0L V8 with 1,341 horsepower and 1,011 lb-ft.  The engine compartment looks like something out of an alien space ship.  Considering that the car is shaped out of light weight carbon fiber (even the wheel rims), this combination is similar to strapping yourself to a rocket.

Koenigsegg claims the car can do a theoretical 273 mph top speed.  Previous models were light on aerodynamic downforce and tuning.  However, the One:1 has the alien looking rear wing and enough winglets throughout to boost our confidence in the high speed claim.
