The 2014 Chevy Cruze uses a proven and old technology in the form of a turbo diesel engine to to try to squeeze every bit of MPG from a gallon of diesel fuel.
On the other hand the Ford C-Max Energi combines electricity and petroleum to get the greatest possible fuel savings using the latest plug-in hybrid technology.
