The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake Is Here To Make The World A Bit More Beautiful

Remember the Aston Martin Vanquish?

It’s gone now, replaced the stunning DBS Superleggera, but its spirit lives on here. Meet the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake. You may have not seen it in the hustle and bustle of the LA Auto Show, but this was actually a perfect time for Aston Martin Lagonda to show this car. Yes, the hustle and bustle of all these reveals are exciting. But if you need something a bit out of left field – something evocative – here’s your answer.

Now, they’re only making 99 of these cars, so it’s unlikely you’ll ever actually see one. Normally it may fly under the radar. I mean, the Jeep Gladiator was just revealed, as was the new Mazda3 and the Porsche 911. Those are all much higher volume cars. Sometimes, though, you just need to slow down and appreciate something beautiful. And this Aston Martin just…is.

I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a sucker for Astons. The sound of their V12 engines and their butterfly-inducing looks. Not to mention the power. This Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake has a 580 horsepower 5.9-liter V12 engine under the hood. And have you seen the interior?

Okay, it’s only a two-seater, but it’s as sumptuously appointed as you’d expect. Not to mention it’s practical (in a manner of speaking), since it’s a shooting brake. Just put on your rose-tinted glasses, throw your golf clubs in the back, and away you go. I can dream, can’t I?

As we get back into altogether more normal cars at this year’s LA Auto Show, let’s take one more moment to check out what is one of the most exotic cars of the day.
