BMW has already confirmed that the ultra luxurious 2016 BMW X7 is coming to the market and will be built in South Carolina. Now we have first spy images of a camouflaged prototype that appears to have a longer wheelbase and stretched out hind quarters. This appears to be a test mule for the upcoming X7.
This image reveals the rear door cut line and the overall shape of the greenhouse. The X7 will have a properly sized third row, and will do battle against the Mercedes-Benz GL, Audi Q7, Cadillac Escalade, Infiniti QX80, and Lexus LX – to name a few. Very few other details are known about the 2016 BMW X7.
This possible X7 prototype was not alone. It was accompanied by a lightly covered 2015 BMW X5M performance monster and a MINI Cooper that may have been powered by electricity. You can the image of the new X5M, but the electric MINI escaped the camera.
Expect the next generation X5M to pack at least 560 hp and defy the law of physics just like its predecessor. It will do battle against other fast people movers: Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG, Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT.
