Subaru has seen recent sales success with the redesigned Forester and XV Crosstrek. The company is now trying to apply the formula to the Legacy, its entry in a very popular and important segment. The midsize sedan market is the largest of all other passenger vehicles segments. It’s the bread-and-butter product for most manufacturers.
The 2015 Subaru Legacy wants and needs a piece of the action. Legacy sedan sales have been sliding down in 2013. Competition is fierce. Take a look at this TFLcar sales report. The completely redesigned Legacy has a conservative presence, but it’s packed full of features that make Subaru successful. For example, the company estimates that a 4-cylinder 2.5L Legacy with Subaru’s Symmetrical AWD will return an impressive 36 MPG thanks to a CVT and aerodynamic improvements. This is impressive efficiency, especially considering that the 2015 model has “largest passenger cabin in the midsize segment” (according to Subaru).
TFLcar cannot wait to fully test the 2015 Legacy in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
For now, take a look at this insider TFLcar video as Nathan learn about the new sedan at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show.
