Do you want the upcoming new all electric Ford Focus? if so you have to live in…

Ford Elec TFL

Ford has just announced the states and cities that will serve as the first U.S. markets slated to get the all-new Focus Electric in the fall of 2011.

As you may recall the EV Focus is based (and indeed built) on the same platform as the soon to be releases traditionally gasoline powered new Focus.

We had the chance to see the new Focus at the car’s intro in Detroit at the start of this year and you can check out that debut HERE.

We also recently drove the current EV Focus (see below) and compared it to a Ford hybrid and came away both impressed and somewhat disappointed with the lack of range. Ford says that unlike the current test car, the new Focus will have a 100 mile range.

If you think that a new EV focus might be for you, you’ll have to wait at least one year (if you live in one of the cities below) or longer if you don’t.

The first markets selected for Ford Focus Electric:

  • Atlanta
  • Austin and Houston
  • Texas; Boston
  • Chicago, Denver
  • Detroit
  • Los Angeles
  • San Francisco
  • San Diego
  • New York
  • Orlando, Fla.
  • Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz.
  • Portland, Ore.
  • Raleigh Durham, N.C.
  • Richmond, Va.
  • Seattle,
  • Washington, D.C.
