Some might say that it is a marriage made in heaven.
Nissan already sponsor's Armstrong's RadioShack bike team so why not give the very first all electric Nissan Leaf to Armstrong who is one of the country's highest profile athletes.
In the video below the seven time Tour de France winner tries to make the connection between clean cars, clean air, and of course cycling.
We suspect the Nissan/Armstrong partnership has to do more with Leaf marketing than clean air, but that's probably pretty obvious from watching the video.

According to Nissan Director of Marketing and Media Erich Marx, the car will find a home in Armstrong's Texas garage on September 1st….which is a few months before anybody else in America will get theirs.
On a positive note for Armstrong if he ever runs out of juice in the leaf he certainly has ability to bike home if he happens to have one of his bike's in the car that is
