The 2016 Volvo S60 Cross Country and 2016 Volvo S60 Inscription (LWB) sedans and the 2016 Volvo XC90 R-Design SUV have made their debut at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.
The raised 2016 Volvo S60 Cross Country sedan features a suspension lifted 2.5 inches higher than its “regular” S60 sedan counterpart, and protective plastic moulding around the wheel arches.
Volvo says that the long-wheel-base 2016 Volvo S60 Inscription will offer class-leading rear space, something they say is consistently requested by US customers. It will be made at Volvo’s plant in Chengdu, China.
The 2016 Volvo XC90 R-Design will incorporate svelte styling elements to a capable new SUV. The new XC90’s optional “T-8” version incorporates a supercharged-and-turbocharged 2.0-L four-cylinder engine mated to a pair of electric motors. Even with 400 HP channeled through an all-wheel-drive system, the XC90 T-8 achieves 59 MPG-e and a 0-60 MPH time of 5.9 seconds.

Volvo says that, when the 2016 Volvo S60 Cross Country goes on sale in the US this summer, it will initially only be offered with the company’s 2.5-L, 250 HP T-5 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive.
