We’re just hours away from the 2020 Hyundai Palisade reveal, but we already know what it looks like.
Well, it turns out we don’t have to wait until this afternoon to get our first official look at the 2020 Hyundai Palisade. This is it, courtesy of Korean site AutoDaily. We’ve had teasers up to this point, but this is one of our first clear, unencumbered shots of the final product.
The front of the car looks decidedly like the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe, complete with a large cascading grille and two-unit headlight design. It has a boxy exterior look, akin to the Kia Telluride and the Palisade’s own forerunner, the HDC-2 Grandmaster Concept. The rear three-quarter angle looks particularly chunky. On that basis, it should fit right in with the other big, chunky SUVs in this segment.
As for powertrains, we expect the 2020 Hyundai Palisade to use the familiar 3.3-liter Lambda II V-6 that’s in the 2019 Kia Sorento. In that application, the engine puts out 290 horsepower and 252 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Carscoops also reports of another site that snapped some photos inside the 2020 Hyundai Palisade. Like the exterior, the Palisade’s interior has a similar layout to the Santa Fe, with a few notable changes. We’ll have to wait until this afternoon for more official information from Hyundai, however. Stay tuned!
