Chrysler’s base model minivan, which was briefly available to everyone until 2022, is back for the 2025 model year.
If you aren’t steeped in minivan folklore, I certainly don’t blame you, but those who are will probably recognize the Voyager nameplate. After it fizzled out in the mid-2000s, it didn’t return to the North American market until 2020. A few years back, Chrysler reintroduced teh Voyager effectively as a cut-price Pacifica, retaining the Pacifica’s pre-facelift styling with a cheaper price tag. It’s only been available to fleet buyers over the past two model years, but the brand is bringing the Voyager back to the mainstream for the 2025 model year, once again offering a slightly more affordable choice compared to the Pacifica, which can easily top $60,000 in its nicest trims.
Now, the whole idea of the 2025 Chrysler Voyager is value, so you won’t see the sort of features and creature comforts on those higher-end Pacifica models. That said, despite the older styling, this “new” Voyager gets some noteworthy upgrades from its pricier sibling. You get a 10.1-inch touchscreen running Stellantis’ Uconnect 5 system (now a standard feature across virtually every vehicle in the company’s lineup), as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. A 7-inch digital gauge cluster comes standard in the Voyager’s single LX trim, too, as does power sliding rear doors, three-zone climate control, leatherette seats and the brand’s hallmark Stow ‘n’ Go seating. Driver assistance features abound including blind-spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control and rear cross-traffic alert, and you even get heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.
Under the hood, as ever, is the good old 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. That engine and its 287 horsepower isn’t something to write home about, but it is definitely a familiar sight at this point. Since we’re talking about the more affordable model here, that power only makes its way to the front wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission. You don’t get the option for all-wheel drive here, unlike with the Pacifica.
The 2025 Chrysler Voyager comes in at $41,690 to start, again coming in just a single LX trim that’s $2,355 less than the entry-level Pacifica Select. Three colors are available: Red Hot, Diamond Black and Bright White, but that’s pretty much it as far as options are concerned. That’s still more expensive than the $37,895 Kia Carnival LX and the $39,135 Toyota Sienna LE, but it is a little bit cheaper than the $43,315 Honda Odyssey EX-L.
Chrysler’s latest Voyager will hit dealer lots in the fourth quarter of this year, and order banks are open now.
