Bust out your Wakmans and Pagers, Honda just revealed a new trim for the Honda Passport, called the “Pastport”. The all-new trim is packed full with nostalgia-inducing features from the 1990’s. Honda says this new trim level “offers nostalgic enthusiasts the simplicity and self-expression of the ’90s”. So, you get the sleek, modern design of the 2019 Honda Passport, plus all of the very best technological innovations of the 1990’s on the interior.

Simplicity is Key

On the interior, Honda has stripped out the new complicated infotainment and HVAC controls in favor of the simpler features from their ’90s interiors. Standard features include automatic windows, digital clock, cassette-to-CD converter and air conditioning. Gone is the button-ridden multi-function steering wheel. This wheel has one key feature, a horn. Very important for letting people know when they did wrong.

You can even watch this standard-definition, 4:3 aspect ratio video explaining all of the fun new features.

Still A Passport at heart

Under the hood, you still get the same 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 making a respectable 280 horsepower. Power goes to all-four wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Coming to Dealers: Never – Cause its a Joke

Take a quick look at your calendar and today’s date should indicate that this is, in fact, a ruse. But, a pretty funny one at that. Be sure to pay special attention to the news today. The manufacturers usually have a little extra fun with their press releases.
