On a crisp Oregon morning, TFLcar tests the Mercedes-Benz GT C and the Lexus LC 500.
The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT C and the Lexus LC 500 are two cars that don’t directly compete. The Mercedes AMG GT C is more focused sports car with a terrific twin-turbo V8 exhaust note. The Lexus, while offering a great 5.0-liter exhaust note, is more of a grand tourer. Where these cars converge is in the amount of tech on offer, with both crammed full of every feature imaginable for a 2018 model.
In this Mashup Review, TFLcar’s Roman Mica gives his impressions of the AMG GT C roadster and the Lexus LC 500 coupe. The looming question: Which car is a better buy? The Mercedes will set you back about $150,000, while the Lexus costs around $100,000. For more background on each car specifically, check out this video on the Mercedes, or this video on the Lexus.
The answer, of course, depends on what sort of experience you’re looking for. If you’re looking for more of a track blaster, the Mercedes may be a better option. If you’re looking for a comfortable, cross-country cruiser, the impeccably-finished Lexus may be a better bet. Check out the video above to see the cars in action.
