Is This an AWD 2018 Dodge Charger Hellcat High Altitude Testing?

TFLcar recently went prototype hunting in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and caught several interesting cars performing high altitude testing, including a Dodge Charger Hellcat. The question that crossed our minds: is this an all-wheel-drive 2018 Dodge Charger Hellcat prototype?

The Charger Hellcat model is known for delivering obnoxious amounts of power. 707 horsepower is a lot for any car and the amazing output figures that come with the supercharged HEMI V-8 place the Charger SRT Hellcat atop the four-door sedan segment in terms of horsepower and speed.

One of the challenges with this excess of power is getting the wheels to hookup with the pavement. Transferring power to all four wheels could solve the traction problem. There has never been a factory-built all-wheel drive muscle car, but it makes sense that the Dodge Charger — which is offered in AWD form — could be modified to accept the Hellcat powertrain.
