Emme Hall and Nathan Adlen go way north to reach Mount Avron – the highest mountain top in Michigan. The state’s upper peninsula is lush with vegetation in the summer, but it’s also home to cold weather testing for many manufacturers in the winter.
Mount Avron reaches a maximum elevation of 1,979 feet above sea level. It is the highest natural point in the state and ranks as the 38th tallest among all the states.
The Motor Mountain USA (#MMUSA or #MotorMountainUSA) epic road trip is a celebration of all things American and the road less traveled. Nathan, Roman, Andre and Emme are driving a 2015 Jeep Rubicon Wrangler Hard Rock across the country to visit the 50 highest drivable mountain tops in all 50 states. Along the way, they will visit locations off the beaten path and the uniquely American attractions that make the United States one of the world’s top tourist destinations.
This trip is also about involving you in the adventure. TFLcar has commissioned 50 commemorative silver belt buckles, one for each state. We will leave a belt buckle somewhere in the state and will tell you the coordinates so you can find it. The first person to find it keeps it. The only requirement is you need to send us a picture of yourself with the belt buckle. You can tweet to us @TFLcar, Facebook us at TFLcar, use the #MMUSA, or #MotorMountainUSA hashtag, email roman@tflcar.com, or all of the above.
The Michigan belt buckle has already been found. Tyler Haen and Stacy Haen (mom) showed their resourcefulness and got to the buckle first.
