There are still many details that we don’t know about the upcoming 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. Now, we get more light on the subject. Mustang6g.com published a claimed Ford dealership price sheet that lists the new GT350 at a starting price of $47,870 before the $825 destination charge and the $1,300 gas guzzler tax. This sounds reasonable considering the fancy flat-plane crank 5.2-liter V8 that revs high and sounds great. There are also the chassis tuning and other components improvements built-in.

The base Mustang Fastback GT starts at $32,300, so this is an approximate $15,000 premium over the base 5.0-liter V8. Consider that the 2015 Chevy Camaro ZL1 starts at $55,505 and the Camaro Z/28 at $72,305, the GT350 starts to look like a real bargain.

Also, consider that the race-ready GT350R looks to start at $61,370 (it’s called package 900A + 920A in the leaked price sheet). Ford is going after value with the latest Shelbys. Let’s hope this value is passed on to the customer, as dealer markups will likely come into play.
