You may remember that the first production 2014 Corvette Stingray coupe went to NASCAR team and dealership owner Rick Hendrick.  That was at the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car auction in Scottsdale past January.   Mr. Hendrick won the charity auction for the C7 coupe at $1.05M and secured himself as the owner of the VIN #0001 car.  He has the privilege to select the color and options for the coupe.  Proceeds from this sale went to College Of Creative Studies.

Mr. Hendrick went for double yesterday at another Barrett-Jackson Classic Car auction, this time held in Palm Beach.  This time Hendrick Motorsports owner secured rights to first production C7 Stingray convertible after a bid of a cool round $1M.  He also has the privilege to select the color an options on the convertible.  Proceeds from last night’s charity auction go to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer institute.

I wonder if Mr. Hendrick will select the same color for this one of a kind, historic pair?  I would like to thank Rick Hendrick for his generous charity contributions and for creating such a unique collection that any car enthusiast would love to see.
