Production version of the 2015 Acura TLX is coming to 2014 New York Auto Show next month.  Acura is following through and honing its strategy of using naturally aspirated four and six cylinder i-VTEC engines in combination with next generation of transmissions, all-wheel steer (P-AWS), and super handling AWD (SH-AWD).

The 2015 TLX is supposed to replace the existing TL and TSX sedans and offer a combination of luxury and performance in one package.  The 2.4L four cylinder will be mated to an 8-speed automatic, which the 3.5L V6 will send the power via a new 9-speed unit. Both engines use direct injection and Honda’s i-VTEC valve technology.  This combination should provide both efficiency and power. Still, Acura does not mention anything about turbo or supercharging, while nearly every competitor is moving to forced induction in search of more environmentally responsible power.

Expect the 2015 TLX to be available with an alphabet soup of latest safety and entertainment technologies.  It will offer anything from lane departure warning, collision warning, adaptive cruise, and electronic active noise control among many other features.

TFLcar and truck will bring you the latest images, video, and information from the 2014 New York Auto Show during press days (Apr 16-17, 2014).
