In the movie series Fast and Furious every car is tuned and every car is fast, but what does it really take make your car perform better?
I recently had the chance to find out all about the fine art of performance tuning from a master tuner and technician. Harvey Epstein runs The Boost Creep LTD in Longmont, Colorado. Not only does he own a tuning shop, but he also teaches others how to tune cars. Harvey knows more about tuning cars than most. That’s why I was thrilled to have a chance to sit down with Harvey on our new show TFLtoday, and talk all about the three top do’s and don’t s when it comes to tuning a car.
In the video below Harvey and I not only discuss what it takes to tune a car, but we also go over which cars are the most tunable and which cars to avoid when looking at increasing your new or used car’s power.
You might also be wondering what happens to your new car’s warranty when you tune it. That’s a great question that I asked Harvey in the video below. Harvey was also kind enough to bring along his tuned Porsche 996 Turbo to demonstrate how he tuned it to almost 500 HP.
If you love fast cars, you’ll enjoy this episode of TFLtoday as we discuss what it takes to make fast cars go even faster.
Please keep in mind that TFLtoday is a live streamed show that we produce and publish every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:00 MST. This means the quality and sound of the video below is not perfect as the show is steamed live.
However, if you are thinking of tuning your own car (or are interested in the science of performance tuning) you’ll enjoy the show.
As always please let us know what you think in the comments below. Thanks!
