What is the highest drivable mountain in Virginia? Well, it’s not the highest mountain in the state. That distinction goes to Mt. Rogers. However, some of the park roads near the mountains are the highest public drivable roads. We identified a road that leads all the way to 4,900 feet. How did we get the information and were we able t reach the final point?

We wanted to show you some of the behind the scenes. We do a lot research and planning for every states that we visit for the Motor Mountain USA adventure. The final stretch of the park road was closed for the season when we arrived at the end of December.  We were able to reach around 4,700 feet above sea level.

One of the best ways of experiencing America first hand is hitting the open road with the windows and top down in the 2015 Jeep Rubicon Wrangler Rubicon Hard Rock. The Motor Mountain USA (#MMUSA) team embarks upon an epic road trip by visiting the highest drivable roads of every state in the USA. Along the way Nathan, Roman, Andre and Emme will visit locales less traveled and uniquely American attractions that make the United States one of the world’s favorite tourist destinations.

The Virginia belt buckle is hidden along the route to Mt. Rogers. Watch the episode below to see the whole adventure and the precise location of the buckle.
