The demand for crossovers is ever increasing and automakers continue to give consumers more choices to meet their active lifestyle needs. Enter the new 2016 Mazda CX-3 compact crossover, a pint-size sport-ute ideal for small families, city dwellers, or empty-nesters who want something stylish, fun-to-drive, and able to fit into tight spaces.

Mazda’s new compact crossover gets a 2.0-liter engine that is good for 146 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 146 lb-ft of torque at low 2,800 rpm. A 6-speed automatic transmission is the only available gearbox with the front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive layouts. EPA estimated fuel economy is 29 mpg city/35 mpg highway/31 mpg combined for the FWD configuration. Estimated gas mileage for AWD models are a little less — 27 mpg city/32 mpg highway/29 mpg combined.

Today’s crossover packs more technology and safety features than ever before. Step up to the Touring and Grand Touring trim levels, and the following features are standard equipment: Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry, heated door mirrors, a center armrest, and leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter.
