The compact crossover segment continues to be red-hot and the Honda CR-V is still in the lead. It holds a narrow lead over the Chevy Equinox, which is growing rapidly. The CR-V showed a -1.0% decline when compared to May of 2014.
The Ford Escape is behind the Equinox by a whisker. The Escape declined in sales, but Ford says the demand is there and they are making changes to increase the supply.
The Nissan Rogue was once again the most improved for the month among the competitors.
Although, not every crossover grew in sales in May, the segment continues to grow in volume and variety.
We are splitting out the ever-expanding sub-compact crossovers into its own report, and you can find it at TFLcar.com.
