Scion is looking to freshen up its lineup with two all-new models that will debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show on March 31, 2015. They are the production version of the Scion iM hatchback and Scion’s first sedan – the iA. Both cars will be based on the European Toyota Auris, but their styling is distinct. The teaser images show unique front styling between the iA and the iM.
Scion promises “engaging styling and outstanding driving dynamics” for the iA sedan. While the 5-door iM hatchback “combines maximum versatility with a sporty design and a fun-to-drive experience”, according to Scion.
We can only assume that this pair will be practical and affordable. In the UK, the Toyota Auris comes with a selection of gasoline, diesel, and hybrid powertrains. We should expect a gasoline version in the United States, although a hybrid version is not out of the question (there is no official word on this).
