5. 2014 Mitsubishi iMiEV

The 2014 Mitsubishi iMiEV aims to be the best value all electric vehicle. It has several competitors in the Kia Soul EV and VW e-Golf among others, but the oddly named iMiEV has the lowest starting price of $22,995 and this is before the federal and state EV rebates.

The CT200h returns as the entry-level Lexus Hybrid. It’s a compact car with not a ton of interior space, but it starts at $32,050 and is rated at 43 MPG in the city.

The i8 has made it on more than one TFLcar Top 5 list. However, this sexy and fast sports car is also highly efficient. It’s rated at 76 MPGe on a combined cycle and using the Economy mode. It has power and acceleration when you need it, but also the all electric mode when you don’t.
