The Limited Edition Overfinch 2012 Range Rover Evoque GTS makes me want to channel my inner pimp while I roll. No kidding – I want to drive this mutha’ while dressed like Super Fly T.N.T! Okay, it may be a nasty proposition to imagine me, a fat white guy, dressed like Super Fly… but I can sure hum some Osibisa (the group that composed the music for Super Fly T.N.T).
The Fast Lane Car loves the Range Rover Evoque. Well, many of us like it and some are amused by it. I think Roman Mica would rather roll in the bigger Rovers. He drinks a lot of tea and has good hair, a prerequisite for big Range Rovers.
This £89,995 (over $140,000) 2012 Range Rover Evoque is special as Overfinch completely reworked its looks inside and out. Aside from the pimpin’ purple/violet exterior color, the innards were reworked and it now has a custom “Lotus white” leather interior. Diamond themed 22” wheels finish off the unique look.
No word on any tiger/leopard prints adorning the interior.
Just like all Range Rover Evoques, this pimpin’ ride comes with a turbocharged 240 horsepower, 2.0-liter four-banger that makes 250 pound-feet of torque. The only transmission is a smooth six-speed automatic transmission.
All of this hardware (some of which is shared with Ford) is connected to Land Rover’s all-wheel drive/ 4-wheel Terrain Response system. It works very well and it allows the Range Rover Evoque to go where very few crossovers can. Although, with these massive 22-inch wheels, it would probably be a bad idea to venture off the tarmac. Stick to city driving (which the Evoque does very well) and you’ll be the talk of the town.
Overfinch is known for their tuning of Rovers, which is why it strikes me as odd that there are no known engine upgrades for the Overfinch 2012 Range Rover Evoque. As customizations go, this is tame for Overfinch.
