The big news from today’s Chicago Auto Show has to be the new Chevy Camaro ZL1 with the 6.2 Supercharged V8 straight out of the Corvette putting out an estimated 556 road shredding horsepower. 

Big News: Potentially unbeatable in its class.


Volkswagen rolled out the 2012 Jetta GLI. Think if it as a VW GTI for the American family guy. The 2.0L Turbo engine is straight out of the GTI mated to 6 speed manual transmission of VW’s wunderbar DSG.

Hyundai takes the Spec R sport concept to the four door family sedan. The Genesis luxury sedan now gets a hot 5.0L V8 that will make the Sunday drive to church a bit more sinful.

Big News: Kimchi vs. Sauerkraut. Koreans have the Germans in their performance sights.


Acura listened to critics and re-chiseled the hard edges of the new 2012 TL. Now it looks more like your Dad’s Acura. But also look for better fuel economy and a revised interior.

Big News: The TL is is now longer visually challenged.


Dodge’s 2012 Charger SRT8 is big, bold and bad-ass!

Ralf Gillis – Dodge’s CEO and lover of all things fast – proudly introduced the beefy 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8. It is, by all current estimates one of the fastest four-door vehicles Dodge has built. With a top speed of 175 mph and 0 to 60 times under 5-seconds, look for this bad-boy to bully the fast lane soon. 

Big News – Dodge adds 6.4 Liters of evil under the Charger SRT8’s burly hood.
