Toyota recalls an additional 1.1 million cars: see the complete list of affected models

Just when you thought the numbers couldn't get any bigger Toyota has announced the recall of an additional 1.1 million cars to an earlier 4.2 million vehicle recall originally announced in November due to a potential sticking floor mat problem.

Toyota has also expanded the recall to Europe. The cars are being recalled because potentially the gas pedal can become caught on the removable floormat, causing the car to speed out of control.

The 1.1 million new cars added to the recall list include:

– 2008-2010 Highlander

– 2009-2010 Corolla

– 2009-2010 Venza

– 2009-2010 Matrix

– 2009-2010 Pontiac Vibe

The GM vibe was added to the list because it is built in connection with the Toyota Matrix as art of a partnership agreement between GM and Toyota.
