A big thank you to one of our viewers, Elvin, who spotted these prototype vehicles in Silverthorne, Colorado earlier this month. They caught what appear to be a Range Rover Velar and two Range Rover Sports in the mountains doing some Rocky Mountain testing.
We have been scratching our heads here at the office trying to figure out what is so prototype-y about these Range Rovers, which is why we are turning to you, our audience, for some help.
The exteriors of these Range Rovers appear to have minimal differences from the current models available for sale, so what is Range Rover testing with these heavily camouflaged SUVs? Are they testing new powertrains – could they be diesels or hybrids? We want to hear what you guys think.
